In, Out, Up, Down with The Event

October 11, 2010

Fake to the right, jab to the left, in, out, up, down with The Event.

Will she, won’t she? Was he, wasn’t he? Push, shove, yes, no. To be continued.

Nothing firm on anything to do with how The Event will represent extraterrestrials. Now Sophia, the ET leader, has introduced a character, Thomas, among the ETs who may (or may not be- we never know for sure) malevolent. But he is certainly to be feared.

However the identification of one ET who can do bad things provides Sophia with the ability to say “It wasn’t us. It was him.”  So it leaves the “good ETs” a back door and a further grey zone, distinction, grounds for rapprochement. (See Chris’s comments for more.)

It is beginning to feel fear based. I am not going to watch it anymore. Last night I was wondering why I bothered to watch it.

Google “hulu”, then search “the Event”, or go direct to:

you leave me in suspense! we only saw Episode 3 here in Australia last night… first time I’ve seen it…. and no, its not screened across multiple networks or more than once – we get one chance to watch it, and that’s it….

    c’mon Steve… somebody….. fill us in….

Search on “The Event” in the search box, Bindy. Unfortunately the serial is designed not to “fill one in” so to try to do so would not be possible. I need someone to fill me in too.

MSNBC is deliberately stringing the series out – and why not? It is, after all, a series. The most I can say is that they allude to an extraterrestrial group who have crashed on Earth and are the prisoners of the U.S. government. What they are doing here, where they’re from, etc., is all kept up in the air.

      Namaste,

      Steve
