Two “Events” Happening This Evening

September 27, 2010

OK, “The Event” is on now.

Here’s a link to CNN’s coverage of the Hastings Panel, from Chris:

One is “The Event,” second episode, where we see if MSNBC will present galactics in a positive light or a negative.

If they present galactics in a favorable light, whoopeee! If not, we have more shovelling to do.

NBC’s site ( says it will appear at 9:00, which I assume is EDT, which translates into 6:00 PDT. It also may be on more channels than just NBC (for instance, City-TV in Canada).

Aidan says: “You can watch the series online here: . I assume that will be after the show has aired – but it may not be. Thanks, Aidan.

The second is the press conference of retired military officers at the National Press Club tonight on incidents in which the galactics have indicated their unwillingness to allow nuclear explosions on or above Planet Earth.

I don’t know if that will be aired anywhere. It will undoubtedly be mounted to Youtube later on. If anyone can tell me, I’ll revise this post.

Here are updates on the latter “event.”

Ex- Air Force officers calls UFOs and nukes a real ‘security concern’

USA Today

A half-dozen former Air Force officers plan a news conference today at the National Press Club to discuss UFOs and nuclear missiles, including an alleged incident in 1967 at a Montana missile base where 10 Minuteman missiles were mysteriously deactivated as a UFO hovered overhead.

See update below

Former Air Force Capt. Robert Salas, a former Minuteman missile-launch officer at Malmstrom AFB, says he was on duty during the incident in March 1967.

He says a “red, oval-shaped object” hovered low over the base while the missiles were mysteriously rendered unlaunchable.

Salas, in an interview this weekend with Washington’s Fox5 news, showed formerly classified documents that called the lack of any apparent reason for the shutdown a matter of “grave concern.”

Salas claims no one at the base was ever debriefed formally about the incident, which he says occurred again at another missile base the following week.

We’ll follow what the officers have to say and pass along any further information as warranted.

Update at 3:48 p.m. ET: At the news conference, Salas told reporters that “the UFO phenomenon is real, not imaginary and there is excessive secrecy in the government about this issue,” Britain’s Daily Mail reports, and called “tampering” with nuclear weapons a “national security concern.”

“The U.S. Air Force is lying about the national security implications of unidentified aerial objects at nuclear bases and we can prove it,” he says.

Salas claims to have witness testimony from 120 former or retired military personnel that points to alien intervention at nuclear sites in the U.S. as recently as 2003, the Daily Mail reports.

Steve, I think ‘The Event’ is very much a timed, disclosure-positive primer for public consumption.

A few points I’ve noted to myself:

In episode 1, the name of the mysterious female representative of the beings hidden away in Alaska is “Sophia” – Greek for “Wisdom.” This is an early tip off: the E.T.’s and their representatives are positive wisdom-bearers.

‘Obama’ is clearly portrayed as a positive president — about whom someone even mumbles in passing, “whenever have he had one of those before?” And: ‘Obama’ is surrounded by creepy government grunts who clearly don’t want him to investigate what Sophia is revealing to him.

In the midst of an embedded plot, towards the end of episode 1 a passenger airline is hijacked and directed straight towards a place in Florida where Obama and Sophia are temporarily staying. Before it wipes everyone out, a wormhole appears out of nowhere and swallows the airline whole. No one is hurt. “They saved us,” Sophia mysteriously whispers after the fact. This bespeaks of a benign presence and technology that has the power and intention to help and heal, not destroy and take over.

The home page of ‘The Event’ asks: “What will you believe”, with the “lie” in ‘believe’ in red font. This to me is an appeal to the sense of truth of the viewing public.

This appeal to our sense of truth is what makes ‘The Event’ more inherently interesting than CBS’s negative-alien portrayal, “V”. In fact, ‘The Event’ may be nothing less than a nonfictional analog to “The Matrix” in terms of its heightened tone of suspense and gnostic mystery — packaged as a television series…and aired in the nick of time ‘the day before disclosure’, as it were.

Anyway…just some personal thoughts after my first viewing. Looks like tonight’s episode will be mounted for viewing tomorrow.

    – Chris

    HI Steve,

If you go to you can see full episodes. I don’t know how many they will keep at once, but the first one is out there and ready to watch.

Steve, I think ‘The Event’ is very much a timed, disclosure-positive primer for public consumption.

Episode 2 will be mounted on on Tuesday, 9/28/10.

I just watched the first episode, and I believe “The Event” may very well be intentionally timed with an imminent disclosure timeline. Two salient clues stand out for me from the first episode:

First, “Sophia” is the name of the woman who informs the U.S. president about classified, still-living beings secretly held in Alaska by what seems to be the shadow-contingent of the U.S. government. It is clear in the first episode that this woman and the president (‘Obama’) are working very closely together in order to uncover the Alaska scenario. It is also clear that ‘Obama’ is checked by strong opposition by members of his own cabinet, who don’t want him to follow the road he is choosing to head down almost single-handedly.

“Sophia” is Greek for “wisdom”. If the Sophia in ‘The Event’ is either a representative of benign E.T.’s (held in Alaska), or an E.T. herself, this would be nearly be a significant communication to the audience that the E.T.’s portrayed in this series are bringers of wisdom to Earth, nothing less.

Second clue — and this one is rather hard to miss: the first episode hinges on a passenger aircraft hijacked (if I’m not mistaken) by a pilot whose wife was murdered in mysterious conjunction with the thickly embedded details of an as-yet mostly unrevealed plot. This avenging pilot is diverting the plane directly towards a place in Florida where ‘Obama’ and his family are staying. Sophia is also there, and it appears the airline is headed straight at her (and Obama), before it is swallowed by a wormhole that suddenly appears in mid-air. “They saved us”, Sofia says.

This alignment of scenes, coupled with how ‘Obama’ is clearly portrayed in a positive light against a questionable and shady cabinet, strongly suggests to me that ‘The Event’ is NBC’s game-changing counterstrike to offset CBS’s negative-alien meme in “V”.

Another telling sign may be found on ‘The Event’s’ home page, where the subtitle, “What Will Y0u Believe” contains “lie” in red in the word ‘believe’. I believe (no wordplay here!) that The Event could very well be a fictionalized version of the truth in preparation for disclosure. As such, it is using public mistrust in the U.S. government as its point of leverage for gaining an audience and going viral. In other words, it is using the truth to tell a bigger story than “V” could ever hope to sell.

This is huge. And it appears that the creators of ‘The Event’ know exactly what they are doing, including hiring an incredible cast, and perhaps even telegraphing the truth-disclosing aim of this series in its summary below:

“The Event is an emotional, high-octane conspiracy thriller that follows Sean Walker (Jason Ritter, “The Class”), an everyman who investigates the mysterious disappearance of his would-be fiancée Leila (Sarah Roemer, “Disturbia”), and unwittingly begins to expose the biggest cover-up in U.S. history.

Sean’s quest will send ripples through the lives of an eclectic band of strangers, including newly elected U.S. President Elias Martinez (Golden Globe nominee Blair Underwood, “In Treatment”); Sophia Maguire (Emmy Award nominee Laura Innes, “ER”), who is the leader of a mysterious group of detainees; and Leila’s shadowy father (Scott Patterson, “Gilmore Girls”). Their futures are on a collision course in a global conspiracy that could ultimately change the fate of mankind. ”

    Home Page:

All in all, I sense that this mini-series may — as you and others have suggested — be a road-paving communication to prepare the general public for the *unbelievable reality* of disclosure and all that it will entail.

In this sense, ‘The Event’ feels to me to be a kind of nonfiction sequel to ‘The Matrix’ — packaged as a fictional mini-series that will not give itself away. As such, it is very much an invitation for viewer participation in service to challenging our beliefs in a hard-hitting manner that cuts to the truth in the nick of time.

Of course, this is my spin based on my own hunch — and I could be wrong. (I’m also happy to say that I don’t think I am. 🙂
